1996 Corvette

   

   

This is my 1996 Polo Green Metallic Corvette. High on milage, but even higher on fun. I got it for about $5k under blue book, so I can live with the few imperfections I find on it. It needs new tires, some brake work(done already), some HVAC work, and a little wiring work. Runs like a champ, that LT4 really sings. Magnaflow mufflers, but otherwise stock. I had to rehang the mufflers, but thats no biggie.

Some vital stats in list form:

• LT4 5.7L/350 cid v8 overhead valve engine. 330 HP.
• ZF6 six speed gearbox
• Dana 44 IRS limited slip differential, 3:45 gears
• J55 heavy duty 4 wheel disc brakes, directional front rotors stock.
• 20 gallon fuel capacity
• painted and tinted targa tops
• factory AM/FM cassette, add on 6 disc changer(dealer?)
• ASR traction/stability control
• FE1 base suspension (a bit soft, but still handles well)
• 255/45R17 front tires, 285/40R17 rear tires

   

   

I plan to run the stock rims and tire size on the street. Probably BFG KD's or one of the Kumho tires. I am looking for 17 X 11's for the track, I plan to run 315/35R17's on all fours for track use. Got Traction? Probably Yokohama A032R's for the first time out so I can cruise streets legally with them once or twice, then I'll switch to a more aggressive track tire. I will also have separate rotor and pad sets for track and street. Combo stuff just doesn't work well.
