A lighting strike on a welding shop on Florida ave in the City of Quincy started a major fire. Quincy FD put out a second alarm bringing fire departments from all over the county. Wetumpka responded with three trucks and help extinguish the blaze. Wetumpka volunteers sprayed water a flaming acetylene tank for more than an hour. The weather conditions were very wet with frequent lighting.
