This large grass fire off of McCall Bridge Rd. was possible started by a passing motorist tossing a cigarette from their vehicle. A clear windy day spread this fire quickly to both sides of the road. Response by Wetumpka volunteers, one Quincy truck and a Division of Forestry tractor knocked down the fire and kept it from spreading and whipping into a much larger forest fire. This fire covered about 5acres.
