The Way
This is a new age. In it we must all join
together to bring peace and search for the Truth.
The truth will not be easy for some to
accept. We have lived in darkness and fear for so long that mistrust has become
second nature to us. Violence is everywhere. Crime is expected. Evil is
tolerated.
This must change. Slowly and with effort,
we can find the truth, we can lose our fears, and we can, each of us, walk in
the light of our own perfection.
This has been promised to us all.
It has come to our
attention that all major world Religions, as well as most of the minor ones,
share certain commonalties or recurring themes each with the other. After intensive
research and comparison, it has been discovered that all religions are
essentially the same and all religions with very few exceptions sprang from the
same source.
A reward has been
promised to us all, whether you call it "Ascending to Heaven",
"Reaching a higher plane", "Becoming one with the
universe", or "Attaining a state of Nirvana".
What ever your
personal religious preference, each make reference time and again to a specific
"Code of Conduct" necessary to achieve the
promised reward.
This path, this
roadmap, this set of morals, scruples and values required to live a worthy life
has been entitled here simply as "THE WAY".
The Way is
not new. It is a very old and sincere attempt to bring light into a world that
has known mostly darkness.
The Way is
not intended to destroy or replace any other religions. The Way exists
to help us apply all religious ‘truths’ to our lives.
In The Way it
does not matter which religion the truth comes from, as long as it is the
truth. The Way uses the Zoroastrian concept of Spenta Mainyu (meaning sublime
constructive force), the Golden Rule from Buddha, the Ten Commandments from
Judeo/Christian religions, and Mohammed’s teaching that "there must be
no compulsion with regards to the truth," and truths from many other
religions and uses them all as they were meant to be, as one, as True
Knowledge.
The Way does
not seek to destroy any religion it seeks to free people from them. The Way
is a basic belief structure that contains all that has been determined to be good
and truthful. The Truth Seekers
thru the Way encourage each of us to seek the truth, not force anyone
into having faith in things that cannot be proven.
The followers of
The Way believe:
1. For the world to be a better place, the change must start
with each individual.
2.
All religions contain some basic truths.
3. Religious organizations have become power structures that force their own narrow belief structures upon others.
4. There is a need for a reasonable
and unified code of morals and a set of values that can be used by all. These
rules must be changeable.
If you agree that
any of the above statements are true, then you are already a traveler on The Way.
The Way has on
occasion been hidden in the shadows of our ignorance by the darkness and
desires of others to dominate and control us.
The Way is
intended to be a light for us in that darkness. A light that shines on the
paths of our lives so that once again, we may find the One True Way.
To search for The Way
is simply to search for truth. To find The Way is to find yourself.
This is the One
True Way:
-To seek the truth
in all things – is The Way.
-To choose right over wrong -
is The Way.
-To do good simply
for good’s sake - is The Way.
-To choose love
over hate – is The Way.
-To see the
potential good in all things - is The Way.
-To oppose that
which is evil and destructive - is The Way.
-To hurt no living
thing, without justified reason - is The Way.
If we can learn to
live life the Way we were meant to, there is nothing that cannot be
achieved, and nothing in life that will be denied us.
2
Peter 2:21 - For it had been better for them not to have known The Way
of righteousness than after they have known it, to turn from the holy
commandment delivered unto them.
To do a thing
and know no better is simply ignorance.
To know a thing
is wrong and still do it is blatant stupidity.
To do wrong
intentionally, is cold-hearted evil.
The Way is
the light of knowledge.
Is The Way so
truly unfamiliar?
The Way is a
path you choose to guide you back to where it all began. Back to God or
the One.
The One or God
is the source of all life in the universe. There are only two forces in the
universe - Creation/Good, and Destruction/Evil.
Some say the One
is God, others say that God is the One. Some people say
that God is everywhere, is everything, is a part of all that exists. The
Hindus and Buddhists call this concept the "One".
Whatever conceptualization
you have of it, it is all the same, "God is the One and the One is
God."
Each and every one
of us is a part of God/The One. If God/The One represents the
light of creation, then each of us is a candle. Consider Evil as a cold dark
wind. Sometimes when the wind blows strong, it causes our flames to flutter,
causing our light to dim. God/The One is our shield against the wind.
Remember, darkness in itself is merely the absence of light, the absence of
creative action. We must each let our light be a beacon to others, lead by
example and let each of our actions stand-alone and speak for themselves. We
can each shine brightly in this world of shadows.
This is the purpose
of the Way. This is the Light of The Way.
It doesn’t matter which
religion you belong to, or even if you belong to a religion at all. What is important is that we
act to create. Creation is the purest of all light.
The One or God
is this creation force at its highest level. The goal of all life is to create
and, by the act of creating, become as One. We are part of all the life
in the universe it is now time for us to step up and accept our roles in the
plan of creation. We are all capable of creating, and are therefore all
creators. We are not, individually, the One, but part of the One
in all life.
We all must strive
to work our way up the ladder of life until we reach a point that our spiritual
enlightenment has matured enough to allow us to leave the restrictions of the
physical behind, and merge with the One. Some call this ascending to
Heaven, others call it reaching a state of Nirvana. Whatever you call it and
however you believe it will be, it is the same concept. Together, once reaching
Nirvana or Heaven we will become part of the great collective spirit that is
called God or the One.
This is the path we
should all be on now. We have the capacity to change the course of our own
destinies by conceiving of new and better ways in which to exist. We can each
truly become children of the Light.
Before us lies the
path back to the One, the end of this path can only be reached by those
who choose to create. Now that you are aware, you can choose to create or
destroy. The more advanced we become, the more geared toward creation we should
become. The elimination of destructive actions is The Way.
There are many
wrong Ways, but there is only One True Way.
Some may have heard
it said that actions are not the path to salvation, that by faith
in a certain belief we can be saved. The fact is that we are the sum of our actions.
Remember there is
neither ultimate good nor evil, and knowing that makes our every decision more
critical in the grand scheme of things, because we create the good or evil
ourselves. It is through this balance act of action and inaction that we are judged.
The only
faith that has ever saved anyone is the faith that comes from believing in
yourself.
Each of us, are
individually responsible for our own spiritual growth and development. We can
only achieve so much in a lifetime. The Way is not an easy road to
travel, but the journey is almost as important as the destination. Many have
fallen by The Wayside, but many more have agreed that they want a better
world and are now traveling along The Way. If this is true of you, then
you must be the one to change it.
Change
How do we change
the world?
One person at a
time, starting with ourselves. We must do what is necessary to correct our own
lives.
Learn The Way.
A large part of The
Way is a continuous personal self-critique, a constant clarification of right and wrong,
an assessment of personal behavior and decisions based on a course of
corrective action for improvement. Understand that once we begin to change
ourselves for the better, then by extension, we can begin to change the world
around us.
Live The Way.
We must take
responsibility for our own actions, and do what is necessary to correct them.
We must do our part and have the desire to better our world. We must use the
gift of knowledge that has been offered, to better ourselves and help others.
To become a
creator, you must choose to create.
A good deed or a
simple act of kindness is a form of creation. We, each and every one of us,
have the power to create the feeling of happiness in someone else. Do one of
these good deeds each day. It can be as simple, or as great, as you wish to
make it. What’s important is that you do it and that you realize the purpose
behind it is not to gain points on your ‘spiritual evolution chart’. It is to
create a positive feeling in someone else. Your positive action will cause the
birth of a positive re-action in someone else. This is a simple act of a
creator.
The deed is not as
important in itself as is the change in us necessary to do it. You will
eventually find that making someone else happy also creates a form of happiness
or satisfaction within you. This emotion is a reflection of what you are. It is
the reward offered to those of us who create. It is a simple beginning, an easy
place to start. As we regain that internal happiness we will start to externalize
it.
Attitudes are like
mirrors, they reflect what is presented to them. If you always present an image
of happiness to the world it will be reflected back to you. It is the greatest
gift God or the One has to offer, and is part of the One True
Way.
This creation is
done not for vanity or self-gratification. It is done because of the will to do
only those things that are of the light, or creation, in your heart. When a
person does this simply because it can be done, and it fills that person with a
sense of well-being, then this act has been done for one reason. It is done
from love.
Evil
Throughout history,
people have asked, "Why does evil exist in the world? Why is
there so much pain, so much wrong and so little right?"
Questions like
these are fundamental to the learning process, and to personal spiritual
growth. To ask "why", is the first step in conquering ignorance.
What then, is evil?
Evil is a condition that exists when good does nothing. Good is the light of
creative action. Evil is the darkness of destruction. Where there is no good,
there is only evil. Where there is no light, there is only darkness. This
fundamental truth must be fully understood.
Action is the key
to all existence. Where there is action, there is life and creation. We have
life, and are endowed with the power of action. How, and in what manner we use
this power, will determine the destiny of our souls, our species and our world.
We can act and move forward into the light, or we can do nothing and watch the
world sink into utter darkness. The most important thing to realize is that it
is our actions that will determine the outcome.
We do not have to
suffer, we choose to suffer! Whether out of stupidity or selfishness, ignorance
or apathy, we inflict suffering upon ourselves and others.
There is another Way,
we can stop whining, stop blaming and start acting! Responsible
action will bring results! Our positive work toward a positive future will
bring it about.
Revelation
20:13 "…and they were judged, every man according to his works."
Our actions as
individuals are as important as those of our entire species. Each of us
contributes to a greater whole. Every idea that can ever be thought will never
be more than a dream, unless acted upon. To end Evil, we must act. To cure
disease, we must act. To end starvation, we must act. To create we must act. It
does not matter what it is - if you want change, you
must act. All our words and all our prayers are as nothing compared to the
power of a single action.
It all begins with
each of us. There are two kinds of actions we each can do, Right or Wrong.
Right action creates and Wrong action destroys.
Some want to be
fence sitters and so claim another option, no action, but no action or
inaction may allow something to be destroyed when we may have been able to put
a stop to it. So by definition, no action is also wrong action.
The highest stage
of spiritual evolution for each of us is when all our actions are right actions.
To become a being capable only of creation a being filled with light. God or
the ONE is a light brighter than any other light but it is not any
brighter than the potential light within each of us. The goal toward
which we all must strive should be to illuminate the darkness with the truth of
knowledge and eliminate the darkness within ourselves.
Action
Each day, we each
have a chance to change the course of our lives. The first step is critical
self-examination. What is it that makes you the person you are?
You are the
sum of your actions!
What were the
actions you took today? What kind of actions were they?
Part of the process
is to categorize every action that you take. Each time you act, analyze what
type of action it was. If it is a wrong action, admit it - then say to yourself
‘I will not do that again.’ Will you do it again? Possibly so, but what
you are doing is ingraining in yourself the ability to recognize right from wrong.
Each of us has a
conscience. It’s that little voice that tells us when we are doing something
bad, or when we are doing something good. Sometimes there is a very fine line
between right and wrong. We may not always have a clear definition to go
by. The conscience sometimes gives us the message through "gut
feelings" or "intuition". It also tries to do its job by
controlling the rest of its kin, known as the family of desires.
Closely examine
each action that you take, develop the integrity to be honest with yourself in
describing what type of action it was. Remember that honesty is defined
as being truthful to others, integrity is defined as being truthful with
yourself.
Each time you
correctly examine your actions it will give your conscience a small boost of
morale. It's a mental acknowledgement to your conscience that it’s doing a good
job. As your conscience begins to feel more secure that you can handle the job
of deciding right from wrong, it will start to take over a function it simply
didn't have the time to do before. It will start to automatically eliminate wrong thoughts, which lead to wrong actions, from even being generated. You, as a
person, will begin to channel all your energy towards right action. The process of recognizing wrong thoughts and telling yourself to eliminate them will
then begin to happen on an automatic sub-conscious level. Click there > to see
our Self
Realization page.
Let your conscience
be your guide.
The recognizing of wrong thoughts is only part of the process.
Another part is to create right
thoughts where there were none before. Start by doing one good deed a day.
Create a thought, recognize it as a right
thought, and then tell yourself to carry it out. After a time, you will begin
to generate these right thoughts with
ease. You will be projecting right
thoughts out to those around you. Your right
actions will also be altering other people’s behavior. It has been said and
with justification, that attitude is everything. Attitudes are like mirrors,
they reflect back at you what your present to them. When you are in a bad mood
you project that mood to those around you, and they in turn reflect that
attitude back to you. Conversely when you are in a good mood it is also
contagious and this in turn will also be reflected back to you. As we sow so
shall we reap. It all combines to reinforce your will to do what is right. Try it as an experiment and you shall
soon see the truth of it.
All of this
requires one thing from you. Action. Your actions will speak louder than
any words you have ever spoken.
It is not an easy
thing, to do only right. There will be
times when those who are not of The Way will do wrong
to you. You may do wrong in return to them, but
the only one you have really wronged is yourself. These actions become part of
you, they are you.
Do right actions even to those who would do wrong to you. Do unto others as you would have them
do unto you. Turn the other cheek.
Realize your
thoughts and take control over them. Guide your thoughts toward right thought. When you know in your heart the
difference between right and wrong, you will know what needs to be changed. With
this wisdom, all eventually becomes obtainable.
We will surely
stumble and fall on our Way. As in times before, there are others out
there to lend a helping hand. This does not mean that we should expect others
to cure all our problems or provide all the answers.
The best way to
learn and grow is by doing. Some of the best lessons learned are those that
hurt the most, they are not easily forgotten, nor are they usually and
foolishly repeated. If The Way is the only path that we walk, it will
overcome all obstacles.
How can I learn the way?
These messengers
or prophets or teachers were all different and yet they all delivered a
message of the One True Way and each time it changed the course of
history.
Hinduism
Generally
all incarnations of God on Earth are associated with the Lord Vishnu who
himself is also an Avatar of the One true god. These include Rama and Krishna
and in some Hindu circles even Buddha and Jesus.
Krishna According to the Hindus,
Krishna was born on earth so that the balance of good in the world could be
restored. He is said to have been an ‘Avatar
of the Divine Being in human form’ who came to show humanity the righteous Way
of life.
Zoroaster's concept of The Way
is called Asha. Though having no
direct translation in English. The ultimate goal of Asha is to remove
injustice, inequality and evil in all its forms from the earth by battling
ignorance.
Lao Tse called it the Tao meaning The
Law or The Way or All That Is.
Mahavira
The 24th Tirthankara meaning
‘Builder of the ford’ or ‘One who shows the Way’
Buddha called all his teachings
The Middle Way
Jesus' followers called his
teachings The Way
Mohammed taught The Way of Islam
A single act of
kindness is worth more than ten thousand bent knees and hollered words of
praise. To help another rid themselves
of evil is the ultimate act of kindness.
James
5:20 - Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of
his Way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of
sins.
Luke
1:79 - To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of
death, to guide our feet into The Way of peace.
John
14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the One, but by me. (A slight modification)
Acts
16:17 - The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the
servants of the most high God, which shew unto us The Way of salvation.
Acts
18:25 - This man was instructed in The Way of the Lord; and being
fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord,
knowing only the baptism of John.
Matthew
7:14 - Because straight is the gate, and narrow is The Way, which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew
21:32 - For John came unto you in The Way of righteousness, and ye
believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when
ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
Religion is a
powerful tool. Many times, men have used this power to inflict their own will
and desires on others. It has led to many so-called “Holy Wars”. More blood has
been spilled in the name of God than in all other wars combined. This is not
The Way. Religion in the past has led to the oppression of most of the
world's population and has subsequently thrown us off of the path of the One
True Way.
The Way is
the truth and the truth shall set you free.
These words were
all written long ago, and yet their meaning is as true today as then.
Jesus was merely
one example of what a true human being should be. The spirit of Christ in its
purest form is an example of a soul filled with the light of creation.
Some believe in the
second coming of Jesus. It is said that the spirit of Christ will
come again and lead us to a new age of enlightenment.
Is Jesus returning
to this world? The answer is yes, but not in the way most have envisioned.
The scriptures of
the world's great religions all contain Messianic prophecies... prophecies
which promise that God will one day send a Promised One whose teachings
will unite all of humanity.
The religions call
this Promised One by various names... Hebrews await the appearance of
"another Prophet" like Moses. Hindus look for the return of Krishna.
Christians await the return of Christ. Muslims await both the return of Christ
and the appearance of an Imam Mahdi. Buddhist sutras prophesy the coming of the
Maitreya Buddha. Zoroastrian scriptures prophesy the coming of the Saoshyant.
What is fascinating
about these prophecies is that they all seem to be foretelling the exact same
event. Coincidence? Maybe.
If teaching is the
most powerful tool a creator may use. Then the teachers were master
craftsman. They each had a gift for communication. A way to make even the most
uneducated, understand their messages.
Right thought and right action
are the spirit of light in its purest form. This is what the prophets all
taught and what they all tried to demonstrate.
The second coming
of a “Promised One” is not a single person endowed with a spirit light.
It is the realization of this spirit in the hearts and minds of all mankind.
This spirit of light will live again through all of us. We are the second
coming. When we can all act to create out of love for one other, then we all
become part of the same spirit.
We all become as ONE.
This is The Way and we are the children of the Way. The Way
is ours. It belongs to everyone. Practice it, spread it, share it, give it as a
gift to those you love and use it as a gift to spread love to those you do not
know.
It was, and is, and
will be forever, but only if we act and use it. Each and every
one of us must contribute to the whole. The seeds have been planted in our
hearts, but they must be watered and fed, if they are to grow.
We, each of us,
are responsible for our own destinies.
The responsibility
for failure or success is up to each of us. Realize that nothing in this world
is perfect. Realize that, through knowledge, a better Way can be found.
And realize that it is you and you alone, who must do the changing. Only by your
actions do you become fully human, a being filled with the light of
creation!
The Way is
your method for finding truth in the various religions, taking from them those
things that help you and the world become better, and then applying what you
have learned in your actions.
We must believe in
ourselves and our ability to change the world. We must work together as ONE.
As ONE, there is no power on Earth that can oppose us. This is our
world!
We have the right to
make it a better place. Look around, and ask yourself if you like what you see.
If the answer is no, then change it.
ACT.
DO.
The Way is
open for us all to walk. Use it! We are the future of this world.
Realize this, and
begin to act as the creator you are. Do this, and the prophecy of the second
coming will surely be fulfilled.
Yet another part of
the process for continued growth is also to understand these fundamental
tenets:
-There
is no Beginning and no End, only Change.
-All
Being is Eternal, and part of the One. You are neither more nor less than a
blade of grass or a star. Understand this and in time you shall harness the
power of the universe.
-Knowledge
is the fire that illuminates the truth. Be the fire and burn brightly. Let the
light of your knowledge pierce the darkness that surrounds the ignorant. Lend
those who are cold, your warmth. Let your light illuminate The Way.
-Life
and all that exists is intertwined. We are not many things but One. When we
recognize the truth in this we can begin to tap into the One Great Power.
-All
that we are is the result of all that we have thought.
-Always
strive to do right.
-Be
Strong, do Good, bring Honor to your soul.
-Dwell
upon the earth like the most humble of creatures.
-Defend
the weak and helpless, protect the innocent.
-Become
one within yourself. Your Body, Mind and Spirit must be in tune.
-Cast
off encumbrances - Your ego, your vanity, your arrogance.
-Walk
in the light. It takes little effort to do so, and so much more to hide in the
darkness.
-Think. Learn. Grow.
A point has been reached in human evolution where we must quit acting like children. It is now the time for each of us to take a very critical look at what we have become and are becoming.
We need to look at our society, our religions, our
governments and our very nature, and ask, “Are we doing the right thing?” “Can we make it better?” We
need to look back on all that has happened, all that we have done, and admit to
ourselves that mistakes have been made. We need also to identify those things
that were correct, those things that did help. This is what The Way is
all about.
Now that we know a
little more about The Way, we can embrace it and begin to put it into
practice. There is a hunger in everyone's heart for something better, a chance
to make things right on this world. It
will only happen if we work together and do it, instead of merely saying it. Be
part of The Way. It's time to spread the word. Let the world know about
The Way and, in so doing, pass along that the time has come for change.
A
monument of true enlightenment must be built in the world, which to finish,
every being of intellectual power and goodness must contribute. This structure
must be one of “INTELLECTUAL LIBERTY.”
Those who go forth into the world and profess
to be teachers should be giants of intellect and be fully prepared to accept
and espouse the truth as it is.
These giants are the “CHILDREN OF THE
WAY.”
Many may not feel that they possess the ability
to contribute to this structure, but knowledge often comes from surprising
sources and none who possess the ability to reason are exempt.
Your
contribution to this grand structure of free thought, which, when completed,
will stand out upon the horizon of time as a towering monument to Truth!
The geneticists are
now certain that all human DNA is 99.9% the same.
We truly are one
people. Together in The Way, we can start acting like it.
