Chapter meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month, at 7:00 pm. at the Argyle Rod & Gun Club. 2 miles east of Argyle and 10 miles west of Monroe on HWY 81. 6 years ago a site north of Monroe was picked as a site for release of genetically wild F1 pheasants obtained in trade from Iowa. The reason for the choice of site was the extensive habitat work done in the area by the chapter on CRP land. Over the next 3 years nearly 2000 adult pheasants were released at 13 different sites including Savannah Springs where 100 birds were released 3 years ago.
