With their home in Willard, Wisconsin the Richie Yurkovich Band plays over much of the Midwest and also plays several festivals in states outside the midwest area. Playing a Slovenian style of polka music the band also plays a variety of other dance music that makes them one of the most popular and in demand bands in Wisconsin.
The band personal includes:
Richie Yurkovich on accordion (midi), button box and vocals.
The drummer is usually Richie's son Mitchell or his wife Gabe, and on occasion either Lynne Proksch or Kathy Dunbar.
The third band member is banjo / guitarist Chico Gregorich and rounding out the band if a fourth piece is needed is Mike McIntyre.
With the band playing several engagements each month, the bookings can be arranged with the 2,3,or 4 piece group and Richie plays many solo gigs as well.
