Hidden alongside this rural road is a yard full of scrap metal sculptures, which includes dinosaurs and many other metallic beasts.  Scrap-metal artist Clyde Wynia is a master storyteller when it comes to his creations.  Also note the Hobbit House.  Juristic Park is located across from the Foxfire Botanical Gardens.  Visitors welcome!

  Take County Road E northward out of Marshfield for 3-1/2 miles.  Turn left onto Sugarbush Lane.  Sugarbush is a horseshoe-shaped road that circles around back to County Road E.  At the far end of the horseshoe is Jurustic Park.

Better illustrated in Portage County, a practice that originated in Europe was brought to America by Polish immigrants.  Small religious shrines or chapels called Kapliczki (singular "Kapliczka") were built near the intersection of two roads at first to protect travelers from evil spirits and later to give thanks to God.  Some of central Wisconsin's Kapliczki are still evident in the forms of shrines and crosses.

In the book "Ghostly Tales of Wisconsin", author Ryan Jacobson shares a story from a young woman who witnessed a particular apparition in her family's new home.

The Fromm Brothers once has the world's largest silver fox and ginseng farm.  Their 17,000 acre ranch was visited by luminaries and corporate giants alike in the heyday of the early 20th century.  Guided tours of the expansive estate are now available by appointment only.  The museum, which includes a four-lane bowling alley, displays items and photos from the Fromm operation.
