During winter months, the frozen waters of Lake Superior between Bayfield and La Pointe on Madeline Island is plowed and used as a county roadway.  I'm sure a few folks have tried traveling this route during a late summer weekend night.

The exterior is painted a shocking pink.  The food is superb.  The decor: pink flamingos, of course.  Yes, you WILL find a flamingo or two if you look carefully enough inside Maggie's: on the walls, on the ceiling, on your table, along with enough other colorful miscellany to keep your eyes busy.
