by Michael Cristofer

Directed by Dave Bristow and Eileen Horn

The Monroe Theatre Guild and Monroe Clinics Hospice Care collaborated for the first time ever. These organizations united to produce a drama in two acts. “The Shadow Box” encompasses both meanings of the phrase: to spar with an imaginary opponent, and a framed compartment used to display precious memorabilia. Michael Cristofer’s characters explore and sometimes fight with a loved one’s terminal illness while simultaneously examining moments and experiences that are cherished in memory.
