Gordy is a lifelong Madison resident. He attended the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh where he graduated Cum Laude and received the "Outstanding Senior Award." Gordy passed the CPA exam in 1974 and several years later started Meicher & Associates.

Gordy is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honors Society), Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Economics Honor Society) and the Wisconsin and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Gordy has been a top tax instructor for both the AICPA and nationally recognized Surgent & Associates, Inc.

In addition, Gordy has received the Wisconsin Small Business Accountant of the Year Award, WICPA Community Service Award and numerous other community awards.

Areas of Specialized Knowledge: Individual income taxation, business income taxation, business startups, wealth management and banking relationships.

Favorite Outside Activities: Coaching youth basketball, service club volunteering, attending college and professional sporting events, spending time with family, and playing tennis.
