Professional Experience

 

Supervisor/Senior Network Engineer I – MCI (formerly WorldCom), Southfield, Michigan         2000-2004

 

Key lead to a team of Network Engineers for the installation, maintenance, and operations of America Online’s dial-up Fixed Port Network (FPN), Dial Activation Network (DAN), and Shared Port Network (Gridnet).

·          Managed and monitored all projects for the team involving installation, configuration, and testing of all modem and routing equipment, including T1, T3 and optical carrier circuits.

·          First point of contact for escalation concerning all project, technical, and personnel issues.  This included on-call time periods outside of normal business hours.

·          Communicated with all levels inside and outside the company concerning progress and issues on a daily basis.

·          Assessed new opportunities for process improvement and implemented them.

·          Recruited, interviewed, and oversaw the training of all new Network Engineers.
