Well, another deer season is behind us here in Michigan. And I gotta tell ya... it has been a good number of years since I've failed to put some venison in my freezer, but 1997 is going to be one of those years. In spite of that I had a GREAT season, and hope everyone out there did also! I got to spend some time in camp with my pops and brothers, and also spend time in my rifle camp with my Dad-in-law. That's what a lot of hunting season means to me, spending time with guys I love to spend the time with. Got to see quite a few deer also, and watch them interact with each other. All in all a GREAT season! There is something about being on a deerstand, love the sights and sounds of the woods. Hi! I'm Kim, and in case you haven't guessed, Bowhunting is a passion of mine! Those of you who hunt know what I'm talking about. Click here to read stories of other successful hunters! And remember write with your story, so I can get it posted on this page. Of course you can't bowhunt year around, so I do have other interests. I had a chance to do a little competition pistol shooting last winter, it gives me something more to do in the winter months. I am a proud member of the NRA. Our golf league has wrapped up, and my high point was a hole in one that I made on June 18th. In the U.P. of Michigan, the warm weather can be short lived.

I believe that we as hunters have a responsibility to do all we can to promote and defend hunting. We also owe it to our sport, (and the game that we pursue) to be proficient and familiar with our weapons and maintain a high ethical standard. Anything less could spell doom for hunting. This is a small tribute to Uncle Bill one of my teachers. And here are a few bowhunting articles for your enjoyment.

This year I got my 5 year old grandson a bow for his birthday. It's great to watch him shoot his "Golden Eagle Brave" bow. He is real excited about it and said "Grampa I got to practice LOTS". Great to see all that enthusiasm. It is never too early to promote our sport of archery and instilling some ethics in our young and future hunters!

LET THEM GO LET THEM GROW !

In the fall of 1995, I had the opportunity to look at 4 bucks in just one evening from my treestand. One of them was one of those once in a lifetime beauties that you dream about. He was hanging pretty tight to a doe, and I figured he would go about 25 inch inside spread. I didn't get a shot at him due to the distance he was from me, but I'm sure gonna be looking for him again this year! I appreciate all the stories you've shared and like to hear about your bowhunting experiences. Questions, or comments about this homepage.

(or just about anything else on your mind)

So shoot me some email, and we'll kick it.
