    Top 10 Things Not to Say to the Guide Dog School Rep

    Top 10 things you do NOT want to say to the representative of the guide dog school when they come for a visit:

    10. I don't usually bother to offer him water at set times anymore. I just leave the lid up on the toilet.
    9. Can you believe they charge $100 to get a dog out of the pound in this town even if it's a guide dog?
    8. No, I never let strangers pet him. Not since that incident on the bus.
    7. This is Fido's favorite restaurant right here. He just loves the lasagna.
    6. Those aren't fleas, they're ticks. Huge difference.
    5. I've found he really prefers melted butter to water on his kibble.
    4. I haven't really taken him out much lately. What's that command you use when you want him to go left?
    3. My herbalist says those heart worm pills are a scam and a clove once a month works just as well.

    1. He was putting on a little weight so I switched him to lite beer.

    2. Get to take a dog with you where ever you go.
    3. Don't have the images of planes flying into skyscrapers seared into memory after 911.
    4. Get to take someone along for free on Greyhound.
    5. Don't care what people look like.
    6. Free books on tape from Library of Congress.
    7. Never have to be the designated driver.
    8. Shades make you look cool.
    9. Don't care if friends outfit clashes.
    10. With braille, you can read and write in the dark -- when camping, at a bus stop, in bed, any time.
    11. Extra deduction on federal income tax.
    12. Lifetime fishing license in Wisconsin.
    13. Ready excuse for talking to & holding the arm or hand of women you meet.
    14. Free classes from Hadley School for the blind
    15. Don't waste so much time watching TV.
    16. Walking instead of driving is good for the environment and helps you stay in shape.
    17. Save on electricity.
