(Jan 2011) Now four years out of the military, I have completed purged myself of the urge to put a cover on my head when I leave a building. I also enjoy sleeping in on the weekends and every other friday, never going out to sea, and not having shift work or duty/watchstanding.
I have added a hobby page to my website. It will be added to each time I update my train set.
I am currently working for the worlds largest aerospace and defense contractor, BAE Systems. I still teach and train, but will also be updating Navy curriculum, conducting training analysis, and other training related activities. I teach in Crystal City, Virginia (outside Washington, D.C.) usually once every two or three months for about a week. I like to travel so it's pretty fun and I pick up lots of airline and hotel points that way.
I enjoyed working with the University of
Georgia, Cooperative
Extension, as an Energy Educator in which I planned, developed,
and delivered consumer educational programs related to energy
conservation and to the natural gas industry. I worked with the University for over a year and received the following four awards:
The American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) has the content, resources, professional development,
and network to help educational professionals achieve exceptional results. ASTD is the worlds largest association
dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. ASTD's 70,000 members and associates come from more
than 100 countries and thousands of organizations. For more information, visit

Interviews: I am currently available for job interviews in South Georgia and North Florida, but they had better be good. (BAE Systems has given me a pretty sweet deal.)
My job:
Principle Trainer, teaching multiple courses of instruction to a military/civilian mixture.
Curriculum Developer and Maintainer for US Navy training courses (Instructor-Led and Computer Based).
Training Systems Analyst providing analysis and recommendations for improvements, development, deployment, and sustainment of training systems.
Travel: Willing to commute as north as Brunswick, GA and as south as Orange Park, FL.(But consider this, I only drive 3.45 miles to work currently with BAE Systems.)
Here are examples of my families lineage
linking myself to a veteran of the American Revolution, a veteran of the
Civil War, and to the Presidency of the United States.
Here you may look at two pictures of me taken over a certain number of years. You guess the difference in years between the two pictures. There are three sets of pictures. Good luck.
If you have a moment, can you test out my problem solving flowchart and let me know how it works...Thanks.

"Put simply, over the last century, America's submariners have risked, served, fought and on occasion died so that Americans might have a safer and freer life. In the process, they have given full measure to the Navy, the nation, and the free world. I can think of no higher price."
