Easy run - slowing working up my mileage. This run took me over 150 Miles for the year! Wow, That is 26 hours, 25 minutes, and 14 seconds (1 day, 2 hours) of running for a total of 153 miles since the 2011 Gate River Run. I wonder how many miles I will have by the 2012 Gate River Run??

This time I ran mostly on the grass beside the sidewalk. I think that was much better for my arch. No pain this time. Guess I will have to find softer places to run. The sidewalk concrete is too hard! Oh yeah, had about 500 Sand Spurs on my socks and shoes after the run. Ouch!

Week 10 Summary

Sep 12, 2011 - Only 19 days till Half-Marathon! I am getting much better!

Last March I ran the Gate River Run, 15K (about 9 miles) in 1:50:00 This past week I ran (no walking, no resting, no crying) 10 miles in 1:40:30 (that is 16 minutes faster than my first 10 mile run last week plus it is faster and one mile longer than the Gate River Run!). A sub-10 pace for 10 miles! (Pace: 9:56 )

As you can tell, I am really excited about my progress. The only problem is that I am now on my last belt hole which is all that is holding my pants up now.

Aug 28th - Ran (and a little walking) 7 long hard miles. Had to stop and kill a large number of horse flies because they kept tring to eat me.
