Ok this is Polerand's history and yes redundancy is an art form to be mastered. Now to Polerand's history. :)
My father, Polerand Alferar Sr., was one of the best weapon smith's
of all the world and a skilled swordsman. His father, Jun'lao Alferar,
was also a weaponsmith, famous for his pole weapons, and that is how he
named his son, Polerand. I was named after my father, and his great love
of the same pole weapons. My 6 brothers were also named after weapons
that my father made, but I shall keep their names silent for now, just
know that they are one of each race. My father liked women of all kind
and that's the reason my brothers are from different races giving me a
very unique perspective allowing me to love all races although halflings
get on my nerves every once in awhile for always getting in my way and
I'm always up for a game of toss the dwarf. My father didn't like the
Emperor Mobious or his Dark Sentinels. He thought that they would
endanger my brothers lives and my own and he helped the resistance by
selling them his weapons at half price and fighting in their army. I was
but a young lad when all of this was going on and didn't know a thing
about my father's weapons. They were blessed by the gods and increased
the person who
held one's abilities by two folds. Why? I'm not sure. Were they before
he fought against the Emperor? I don't know eitherŠWhen Mobious started
attacking our towns my father taught me how to use all of his weapons
but my skills were best with the pole although they were little anyway.
After noticing I wasn't a great fighter right off, I became a healer
like my Thoom brother.
After many years of fighting the Alferar clan became known for their
incredible abilities at their respective professions. This angered and
frightened the paranoid Emperor and he sent his Dark Sentinels to our
lovely town of Mountain Reach, a more liberal town allowing families
like ours to live in peace. His Sentinels reeked havoc all over until
our family stepped out prepared for battle. We healed, fought, and fled
many times. We actually took out a few of his Sentinels, but that was
covered up by the Emperor fearing that this would give hope to the resistance.
My father supposedly found a soft spot, but perhaps it was the gods again...or
perhaps I am filling in gaps of memory loss from my younger years.
After our defeat at Mountain Reach the Emperor was upset with us and
placed us all in different locations around the world; my father was
sent to Puddleby. My brothers and I finally got back to Mountain's Reach
which had now became a township for the newly arrived Ghorak Zo's, but
they let us in due to my youngest brother, a Zo.
We returned to our house to find nothing there. Our care-taker, whom
we all affectionatly called mother, had been taken away and what was
done with her we still do not know. One of the many things she taught me
before her disappearance was to be
meek. I know that I'm not at all times and am easily provoked to anger
like the rest of my family but because of her I have some control
although it may be small at that.
My Sylvan brother came up with the plan. He decided that we should
sneak up to one of the two Sentinels in the town and kill it like our
father showed had. Then after that we would have the Zo revolt a little
by telling them this town was once an ancient burial ground. Our Human
brother thought that it was too risky to take down a Sentinel without
our father, and so we decided to skip to the latter part of the plan.
Once they wer informed, they seemed to care little, so we told them the
Sylvan rumours of the Undine, and they were enraged at the Mad One for
placing them on such a place. They rampaged through the town, destroying
liknesses of the Emperor and attacking the Sentinels as well. Many of
them are now in Puddleby along with us, but wish for their names to
remain silent.
After we had left, we decided to sail south of the mainland in
attempts at finding ourfather, when a storm hit us and blew us much
further south than we had anticipated sending us to the acursed
"Asylum." We left as fast as we could, picking up some poor souls on the way
out and went to another island covered with only the hidoues Undine and
the vile Darshak Pirates. We left as hastily as we could before picking
up some weapons to replace our father's that were stolen by the Emperor,
when we finally got to Puddleby where I planned to pick up my father,
but our boat was destroyed by the Sentinel in the town. We seemed to
have lost much of our strength after our visit to the Asylum, yet we
grow stronger every day
In Puddleby I have met many friends
from many different races, backgrounds, and alignments. The most joyous of
the new meetings was that of finding my sister, whom I did not know existed,
Allison. It seems that before my father was sent to Puddleby
he met a lovely human woman, Allison's mother. After my father was sent
exiled and after our ship landed at Puddleby, Allson was born. She was raised
and named by her mother, and that is most likely for the better. After her
mother informed her of her father and our families past dealings with the
Emperor, she bacame one of his most vocal enemies. The Emperor decided
to have her immeadiatly exiled when he found out she was an Alferar. She
came into our town scared and alone and I had no idea who she was but she
apparently knew me. After we talked I took her in and helped her get on
her feet. She is no doubtedly an Alferar and also swears revenge.
