-

-
Organization, Inc., and others support the following conclusions:
-

Chiropractic manipulation is highly effective for back - and other spine-related
conditions.Chiropractic demonstrates a strong advantage over medicine in
efficacy and patient satisfaction.Chiropractic puts patients back to work
sooner and with greater long term benefits.
-
COST CONTAINMENT
-
Chiropractic substitutes for more expensive medical care. The
overall case costs of chiropractic are less. Nationally, payments to chiropractors
are much less than 1% of the total health care costs. Chiropractic care
requires fewer referrals for specialists, x-ray, laboratories and
hospitalization. Nationally, chiropractic presents a dramatic cost advantage
in the treatment of those condition commonly treated by chiropractors.
-
In ALABAMA, the cost advantage of chiropractic care is even greater.
-

-
Seventy-five percent of chiropractic bills are paid out-of-pocket by
the patient, yet public use of chiropractic care is growing rapidly.
Thirty percent of Americans have used chiropractic and over 90% of them
felt their treatment was effective.
