| If They Are Not My Friends...Who Are They Then? |

The other day I had a controversial discussion with my landlady who has a fixed opinion on EVERYTHING, almost always opposite to the person she is talking with. This discussion came about because I made a comment regarding the fact that I have a lot of "friends" here in this town. She immediately took the stance that my verbiage was incorrect and that I do not have that many "friends" but rather acquaintances.
More on this later...
Then today I get a twitter from an online "friend" who states that her co-workers are telling her that she can not call her online acquaintances "friends" because she has never met them. Same general stance that the landlady took with me...
What the fuck?
What's the deal? Why is it that other people need to define perspectives and try to force you to see it the way they do?
The fact that this topic has been shoved in my face twice in less than two days is not randomness... it's one of those signs that I have talked about in the past. This may not be huge or epic in nature but it is definitely something that is trying to get my attention for a reason.
I will discuss this in detail during my next podcast. We'll get to the bottom of this shit and define some perspectives for other people to live by damn it.Labels: People |
