Things haven't been going too well these last few days. I am not sleeping, nor am I eating. I am drinking and going through a lot of stress and emotional upheaval. I am not going to relate the details, but I did happen to notice myself in the mirror today and was a bit shocked at the physical deterioration taking place.
Especially the dent in my cheek bone... I have no idea where that came from...kinda pre-zombiesque eh? Let's see what it looks like in another week..

| I'm Sick.. I Don't Get Sick |

For the past few days something has been trying to infect me. I could feel it on the fringe of my system but just ignored it as I always do. I just don't get sick. Well this morning I woke up and my body had been assimilated.. Head was throbbing, joints were aching, chest was full of fluid..
Well I ended up giving in to this shit and had to call my DUI class and tell them I wouldn't be there today. That's gonna cost me another $30 but I don't care with the way I feel. I called in sick to Home Depot as well, at least I can use my sick time there and still get paid.
I know this is a short post but I have to get some sleep and beat this thing. I added podcast 17 to the feed, check it out but a word of caution before you do.. This episode contains some very disturbing subject matter so heads up folks.Labels: Health, Podcasts |

| Illness, A State of Mind? |

Fuck.
My nose is running a lot. I'm congested and starting to cough up stuff. This is not what I need right now. And I don't get sick.
No I mean it. I don't get sick.
Ever.
I just don't.
So what the fuck is happening to me?
I can't afford to be out of work or laid up. It's been cold lately. I have my kerosene heater running almost non-stop because the walls and roof have no insulation. The heat goes out as fast as I produce it. Then on top of that my landlady keeps complaining that she has no wood for her stove and wants me out cutting more for her.
IT'S FUCKING RAINING.
She's so needy all the time. It's like she has to have a crisis or she doesn't feel like she's getting enough attention. If it's not one thing it's another with her. It's always something though, I gaurantee it. Drama, drama, drama.. She puts on this front of being so busy and so tired all the time. And has the audacity to try to mentor me on time management skills.. whatever.
So I'm getting sick. Time to start slamming Green Tea and focusing inward. Illness to a large degree is merely a state of mind. I don't believe in it, therefore I am for the most part immune to it. However, when I do start to feel something coming on I have to take it seriously because if it's strong enough to slip through my mental barriers then it's the real thing.
Time to detox and re-align, find my center so to speak and ground myself. I know it sounds strange but it works.
Heat. That's another way to beat illness. Sweat it out. Hard to find any heat in this trailer though. Poor Thor, he was shivering yesterday when I got home from work. His teeth were chattering too. He has a Fido Fleece sweater that he wears during this time of year but it doesn't help all that much when it's as cold inside as it is outside. It works best for short trips outside to pee and then back in where it's warm again.
We manage. We always have.
I've been lagging on the podcasts too. I'm putting together show number 5 and it's a bit more convoluted than any of the previuous episodes due to it's nature. Hang in there, it's coming..Labels: Health, Winter |
