Demons and Angels

Day after day we invited
Those demons to walk through you
They ravaged you, they
Destroyed everything in their path

Day after day we invited
Those angels of light to touch you
We begged, we pleaded
We brought you to their path

And after the blackest of poisons
And the holiest of waters
Had both been poured out,
We looked through your shattered frame,
And there we found
A light called “Hope”
