The Truth About goEmerchant.comRich provides his commentary, personal views, gripes and 'at-a-boys."Should I encounter a moment of clarity, I hope to have it recorded in these journals."05 April 2002Happy to report everything has run smoothly since opening the account almost a year ago. Wasn't too happy they now also have a $29.95 ANNUAL fee being charged but all in all there have been no problems. 30 May 2001Well, yesterday I was just about set to give these guys an at-a-boy for getting my merchant account so quickly and hassle free BUT that was yesterday! Today, I just spent 1/2 hour ON HOLD waiting for Tom, the tech guy who told me yesterday he would expedite the anticipated arrival of my account #. I had received and e-mail stating my account had been approved by the bank! That being the case, it would be nice to be able to entry the pending SALE I have waiting. Tom assured me, yesterday, that I would have the necessary info by the end of the day yesterday to enter my sale - at the latest, I should get an e-mail with the info by this morning. Morning is almost over and Tom says (after making me hang out listening to on-hold musak for 1/2 hour) that they did not receive any of their new account numbers from the bank. And that he will e-mail me shortly to let me know the status. I will have to pay extra shipping to speed up the order I'm sitting on waiting for him because I don't want to lose my good customer in Texas! OK Tom, I'll wait patiently! An e-mail earlier this morning would have been nice, even it was to let me know there is a problem and they're working on it. Then I would not have needed to vent. Opening Entry 26 May 2001We filed an application with these folks. They offer a month to month merchant account for $29.95 per month plus competitive transaction fee plus $15/month statement fee. The on-line application doesn't list a 'merchant account only' option but has a shopping cart w/security option and full on-line processing option. They say we can upgrade at any time without paying a penalty, so we thought we'd start small and add features when we start seeing some traffic on the site. We received word today (we faxed in the application yesterday) that the bank has accepted us and expect to be able to accept cards manually - through 'virtual terminal' on their secure site - after the weekend holiday. |
