Different Spokes ride leaders supply route maps and/or queue sheets and make every effort not to drop any rider who starts with us. It is up to the Ride Leader to determine if a ride is cancelled due to weather or other problem, or if route changes are needed. Capital City Trail, Military Ridge and Badger State trails require State trail pass $4 daily/$15 annual available at trailheads. The pass is good on any of the State Bicycle Trails, Capital City Trail, Glacial Drumlin Trail, Sugar River Trail, etc. Should you decide not to purchase and are stopped by a ranger, there is a $5 penalty in addition to the cost of the pass.
A Wisconsin State Park vehicle admission pass will be needed for camping. $20 annual, $5 daily. The pass is good for any of the Wisconsin State Parks. They do check and ticket... Camping will be $10-$15 depending on the number of campers. We hope to have a group site for the weekend.
The Westby Syttende Mai ride is part of the Syttende Mai celebration. Various mileages are available. Pre registration is required and can be done through the Westby Chanber of Commerce website. It takes approximately 2 hours to drive to the starting point in Westby. Carpooling is available, contact Dave P at 241-8184. Pregistration form will be available at http://www.westbywi.com/
Ledge View Escarpment Ride is a fund raiser for the Ledge View Nature Center. $16-$20 for preregistraion. Since the start is early, Saturday night camping is available for a nominal fee (last year $5).
